COMMUNITY OUTREACH
In addition to the St. Matthew's Sunday Breakfast Program ~a free breakfast served each Sunday morning to those in the downtown core who are in need ~the congregation also supports (financially, with volunteer labour, and in kind) the work of many agencies and groups in the city whose mandate is the care and support of children, youth, men, and women in crisis.
For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
I was naked and you gave me clothing,
I was sick and you took care of me,
I was in prison and you visited me.
Matthew 25:35-36
We are profoundly grateful for the work of these organizations.
