Benefit performance for Halifax Circus
St. Matthew’s invites you to a benefit performance of Quidam by Cirque du Soleil on July 20, 7:30 pm at Halifax Metro Centre. Featuring acrobatics, dance, gymnastics and music, Quidam tells the story about a young girl’s escape into a world of imagination. Revenues from the July 20 performance support Halifax Circus Circle, whose young athletes practice regularly at St. Matthew’s. Tickets ($85) available at the church office, 423-9209 or through Halifax Circus Circle, 830-3123. Information: http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/shows/quidam/default.aspx and http://circuscircle.ca

Church Communication
St. Matthew’s plans to re-launch its regular church communication/publication (recently called the Kirk Spire) and will be looking for your stories and input. Help us prepare for the back-to-school issue in September. Don’t assume “everyone knows about it” – instead, think about what information others might need or want so that they can become engaged in church activities and in the life of our congregation. Do you have a volunteer passion the rest of the congregation should know about? Are you fascinated by church history? Do you have an inspirational story to share? Could you tell the congregation about the valuable work your committee does? If you can offer your input, contact Barbara Bickle, bbickle@ns.sympatico.ca
