Last SummerSounds@Barrington on Thursday
The final concert of the summer, Aug. 25, features Celtic harpists Ardyth and Jennifer with Pam Mason on bass. The concert begins at 12:15 pm. Bring your lunch, enjoy great music, and recommend the concert to friends. Suggested donation $5.

Georgie MacLennan

Last week the congregation lost a wonderful friend and great supporter with the passing of Georgie MacLennan. Sincere condolences are extended to Bill, Dale, Donna, and their family as they mourn the loss of a grand lady who was an elder, member of Session, UCW leader, and St. Matthew’s stalwart. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 26 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at J.A. Snow’s Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive. A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew’s on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 11 am, with a reception following in the church hall. Burial will be at Lockerbie Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche. Georgie’s obituary appeared in The Chronicle-Herald on Monday, Aug. 22.

Lyall Swansburg
Condolences are also extended to the family and friends of Lyall Swansburg, who passed away last week. Lyall was treasurer of St. Matthew’s from 1975 to 1985. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lyall’s daughter Susan and the family.
