Piano Concert Oct. 14
Just before the summer hiatus, St. Matthew’s acquired a new grand piano for the sanctuary. This wonderful instrument will enhance our worship services and expand our horizons as a concert venue. All contributions toward the cost of the piano are welcome!

The inaugural piano concert will be presented by Barbara Pritchard on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 7:30 pm. Barbara is active in Halifax as an accompanist, chamber musician and solo pianist. She specializes in performing music from the 20th and 21st centuries. Barbara studied music at the University of British Columbia, Ljungskile Folkhogskola (Sweden), Banff Centre for the Arts, and Eastman School of Music. For several years she was a faculty member in the Banff Centre’s New Music Residency program, and she has taught courses in 20th century piano music for Dalhousie University Department of Music. Plan to attend and encourage friends to join you as we celebrate a new chapter in music-making at St. Matt’s.

Congratulations to ...

Thanks to ...
