Yoga class Wednesdays at St. Matt’s
Atlantic School of Theology student Jenny MacDougall is offering a yoga program at St. Matthew’s on Wednesdays from 12 noon-1 pm. The focus will be on postural practice, alignment, and healing breath-work – perfect for beginners or experienced yoga students who want to invigorate their lunch hour. All levels of fitness are welcome – you will work within your own comfort zone. Bring a yoga mat and block if possible (there will be spares). Class fees are on a sliding scale, up to $10 per class based on income and pay-what-you-can confidential policy for the unwaged or under-waged. There is also a reduced-cost punch card available for 10 classes ($85). A portion of each participant’s fee will be donated to St. Matthew’s. For information contact Jenny at tad.asana@hotmail.com or 407-5042.

SmartCycle Lunch and Learn on Thursday
Do you bike to work downtown, or have friends who do? There will be a free SmartCycle lunch-and-learn on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 12 noon at St. Matthew's. Turn your commute into exercise, or get tips for safe cycling around the city as an alternative to driving. New and experienced cyclists are invited. Bring your bike and lunch, and enjoy this free session, taught by Tim Peach and sponsored by SmartTrip Active Commute and Halifax Regional Municipality. Please forward this notice to work colleagues and anyone you think will be interested.
