Ron Klusmeier “Tour of a Lifetime” concert on Sunday
Celebrated hymn writer and musician Ron Klusmeier will be at St. Matthew's on Sunday, Apr. 7 at 3 p.m. for an all-ages, uplifting singing concert. Because of his special relationship with and in The United Church of Canada, as well as the many hymns he has composed over the years that are sung throughout our church, we hope many United Church people will want to hear him in person. In 40+ years of touring Ron has visited more than 2,000 churches in every province and 49 US states.

Tickets are $20 adults, $5 children and youth (16 and younger). One-quarter of gross revenue goes to the Canada Foodgrains Bank. Reception to follow. Tickets available at coffee hour on Sunday and at the door. Invite friends!

Final Sunday Study Session this week – Weird churchy traditions
Observe Holy Humour Sunday in the parlour on Apr. 7 (noon-2 pm) and learn about weird church traditions or practices that seem utterly bizarre or even vaguely incomprehensible. Bring a bag lunch and your questions.

Photo Directory
Work is under way on a new St. Matthew’s Photo Directory. We would like to include individual photos of everyone in our church community. Photos of family groups can be included too, if you wish and/or you prefer your children to only appear in family photos.

If you already have an individual/family photo that you like, please send it in digital format to the church office (stmatts@ns.sympatico.ca).

Choose an appointment during coffee or online at https://pickatime.com/client?ven=11607816 Photos will be taken in the sanctuary after church on April 7 & 14 (approximately 11:30 am–2:30 pm) – and on Thu., Apr. 18 from 6–8 pm.

Metro Non-Profit Housing Association – Can you help?
One of our outreach partners is the Metro Non-Profit Housing Association. During April St. Matthew’s is collecting household goods that can be given to people to set up their homes. This is an important support for those who have been homeless or are at risk. Bring items to the church on any April Sunday and they will be picked up by MNPHA.

Examples of useful items:
Food preparation – pots, pans, dinner plates, bowls, forks, knives, spoons
Kitchen stuff – utensils, spatulas, mixing spoons, mixing bowls,
Small appliances – toasters, microwaves, irons, ironing boards
Linens – bed linen for single beds, pillow cases, blankets, towels, face cloths
