Pride Parade

St. Matthew’s joined with Halifax’s other Affirm United Churches, St. John’s and Bedford United, to participate in the Pride Parade last Saturday. The theme was “All God’s Children got a Place in the Choir”. Special thanks to Tim Matthews, Sandi and Calista Caron, Marion Innes, Matt Fraser, Michelle Jensen for building, decorating and refreshments; to Tim Covert for electrical and transport; and to Wayne Rogers, Rob Murray, Nicky Davis, Tim Covert, Hilary Wellard, Tom and Matt Fraser for their enthusiastic music, singing, and flag-waving.

Summersounds@Barrington Concert Series
Every Thursday at 12:15 pm enjoy a lunchtime concert at St. Matthew’s. Admission is freewill offering, suggested donation of $5. Performers include:

Aug. 1 – Meghan Jamieson, soprano; Lynette Wahlstrom, piano
Aug. 8 – Matt McKeown and the SFS Jazz Trio
Aug. 15 – Marcel d’Entremont, tenor; Jennifer King, piano
Aug. 22 – Anna Bond, contralto; Jane Miller, piano
Aug. 29 – Catherine Little and Friends chamber music
