The Anonymous Couple challenge has been met!
Once again the congregation has finished the year with a givings bang. Thanks to the matching challenge by the Anonymous Couple, we have achieved a combined $20,000 boost to revenue in 2013. Thanks to the Anonymous Couple for their generous support and to all who responded to this year-end appeal.

Winter Bible Study
Winter Bible study will be held on Mondays from noon to 1 pm starting Jan. 13. The winter session will be an eight-week study on the parables of Jesus, “Living the parables out loud.”

Coffee Party Jan. 15
St. Matthew’s will host a coffee party for seniors on Wed. Jan. 15 from 2–3:30 pm in the Common Room at Summer Gardens, 1470 Summer Street. Enjoy fellowship and conversation with men and women from the congregation. Refreshments will be provided by members of the Pastoral Care team. If you would like to attend and need transportation, call the church office,  423-9209, or Jill Rafuse, 492-4523. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Thu. Jan. 16, same time, same place.

Thanks to ...
Ÿ Guest organist Scott Taylor and soprano Margaret Champion for sharing their music last Sunday.

Ÿ All who donated socks for Phoenix House. More than 140 pairs of warm socks were delivered last week.

Ÿ Everyone who generous gave White Gifts, hatts and mitts, scarves and Christmas cookies for guests of our breakfast program, the community, and the Out of the Cold Shelter.Warm hats, mitts and scarves are always welcome
